Coach Dayanne
I have been in sports and around the athletic field for 10 years now! I have developed a love for volleyball since the beginning. I love seeing the progress that the kids make.
Coach Isabel
I have played volleyball since I was little, and it has been a constant part of my life growing up. Volleyball has always been more than just a sport to me. I enjoy watching athletes grow, improve their skills, and realize what they are capable of through hard work and dedication.
Coach Aylen
My athletic background is in volleyball. I grew up playing the sport, which helped shape my discipline, work ethic, and love for the game. Volleyball allows me to clear my mind and express myself. As a young girl, I wished I had the opportunities athletes have today, and that motivates me to give my players the chances I once hoped for. My favorite part is watching my athletes grow—building strong skills, confidence, and a positive mentality on and off the court.
Coach Gabrielle
I played volleyball since I was 11. I played at Flames and was coached by Charlie from 7th to 11th grade. I played varsity at Edinburg North and was the All District Defensive player. I got offers for college ball but did not proceed my volleyball career. I’m passionate because I love the game. I love the competitiveness and the drive to win. This game has always been something I turn to. Whether it’s playing or coaching, it makes me happy. I love watching the athletes grow, seeing their face light up when they grow in a certain skill or change their habits and see a difference in how they play make me happy!
Coach Sam
4-year varsity volleyball at Robert Vela High School. I have played volleyball since I was 9 years old and have been committed to it ever since. I love playing the game and making connections with fellow teammates and coaches. Now, I get to share that passion with younger athletes by coaching and teaching them about the beautiful sport of volleyball and the life lessons it brings you to not only as an athlete but as a growing individual. I love getting to share the knowledge that has helped me tremendously on becoming a great volleyball player and making athletes better day by day and watching them grow their passion in a sport we all love.
Coach Aissa
I have been in volleyball since I was 7/8, actually I’ve been with Flames since! I’m passionate on volleyball because it’s more than a sport to me, it taught me discipline, teamwork and confidence- things that translate into real life. My favorite part about training athletes is seeing their faces when they finally get the hang of the skill their learning.
Coach Benjamin
Club volleyball at RGV Flames, college volleyball at Sacred Heart University. It’s the sport that I fell in love with. It’s very fun with friends and at a high level. My favorite part of training athletes is seeing the result of the potential I saw in them and them exceeding my expectations.
Coach Sidni
Varsity volleyball & 2x MVP. Volleyball is my passion because it has taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of teamwork. I love the challenge of constantly improving my skills while pushing myself to become a stronger player and leader. Being on the court brings me confidence and joy, and I enjoy encouraging my teammates to be the best they can be. Training athletes is my favorite because I enjoy helping them grow in both skill and confidence. My goal is to inspire athletes to reach their full potential while teaching them the importance of discipline and perseverance.
Coach Len
I started playing volleyball in my junior year of high school and have loved the sport ever since, constantly working to improve both as a player and an athlete. I am passionate about volleyball because it has given me some amazing friendships, and it’s something I can always turn to when I want to have fun and challenge myself. The best part for me is seeing athletes have fun, improve their skills, and gain confidence in themselves along the way.
Coach Jeslynn
I played volleyball throughout high school, where I learned the value of hard work, teamwork, and dedication. I am passionate about volleyball because I love the energy of the game, the teamwork it requires, and the growth as a player and as a person. My favorite part of training athletes is seeing their confidence grow as they improve and achieve their goals.
Coach Shantelle
I’ve played volleyball since I was about 10, I did a year of club and I’ve also played softball at 13. It’s a sport that allows me to be myself to get out of my comfort zone and always pushes me to get better. My favorite part about training athletes is seeing their progress and reactions when they realize that they’re getting better. Seeing that also drives me to help them realize that they have lots of potential in themselves.
Coach Omar
Club Volleyball, Varsity School Sports. It’s fun. It’s really fun and makes me laugh and smile a lot.
Coach Leo
I started playing sports in elementary with badminton and then I began playing volleyball in high school. Volleyball is super fun and requires constant improvement and a lot of athleticism, and its most fun when I’m playing with my friends. I like seeing the athletes improve over time and helping them with things that I also used to struggle with.
Coach Maria

High school- track 4 year letterman, volleyball and basketball 3 year letterman. I’m passionate about volleyball because it teaches more than just a game… it teaches life lessons, builds character, confidence and self esteem, and it also shows what is possible through team work and perseverance. I love watching players develop and accomplishing things they felt they couldn’t do.. it’s rewarding
Coach Alexa
I played volleyball 10 years, basketball, and track during high school. I would like to say that I’m passionate about volleyball due to starting at a young age. I fell in love with the sport and the coaches that motivated me to do better. My favorite part about coaching is watching your girls succeed in what they love. Keeping them motivated to continue working hard for their goals and dreams.
Coach Emily
I have played volleyball since I was in the third grade (for 12 years), played travel volleyball for 3 years, and played varsity volleyball for 3 years at Robert Vela High School. I love volleyball because it has taught me endless life lessons, given me lifelong friendships, and has shaped me into the driven person I am today. My favorite part about coaching would be getting to see the joy the athletes get to experience when they accomplish their goals whether it be from getting a serve over, perfect pass to target, or scoring by getting a kill.
